N.B: the mill has now been demolished for redevelopment.
This is a large, ruinous textile mill in the county of Devon. The mill has its roots in the 16th century as a flour mill, but the site became a textile mill sometime in the 18th/19th centuries. The mill closed as a textile production site in 1934, bringing a huge loss of employment to the village it is situated in. In WWII, the looms and majority of the machinery were sold to aid the war effort. From 1934 to 1992, the mill operated as a wool grading centre. Since 1992, the site has lain derelict and abandoned. Sometime between 2018 and 2020, the majority of the site was demolished for redevelopment.
