The abandoned and derelict church of St John the Evangelist in Slebech, Wales, was built in the mid 19th century by an architect from Haverfordwest (Hwlffordd). The church is very strangely an east facing church and not a west facing church. When the architect realized this, he hung himself in the tower.
In 1990, the church was closed and deconsecrated due to subsidence. Access to the exterior is easy: just squeeze through the fence. Unfortunately the church is very well sealed up and is inaccessible. I will return to this location in 2018 when I am able to drive.
